Vintage Jaeger Lecoultre Powermatic, ref E 163.

 

From the early 50's, 37 mm steel case.

Not the first automatic watch from JLC,  but one of the first, with the Futurematic, to display a power reserve indicator.

look very ordinary: we’re not used to see those kind of springs in a watch caliber anymore.

Very nice - & the power reserve is a bonus. This one almost has a more modern vibe being 37mm

There were smaller versions, but my favorite has always been the jumbo and its 37 mm case.
