Toric Chronograph
Looks like more and more people are getting towards Parmigiani.
So let me add this one.
The Toric Chronograph.
Also made about 20-25 years ago, together with the tourbillon, Ionica, Memory time and Basica Parmigiani first offerings.
The Ionica was the first that had it's in-house movement, the splendid tourbillon was I believe based on a Girard Perregaux Chronograph while the Torch Chrono was an El Primero.
Th movement
It is a bit better finished than a standard El Primero, they added some geneva stripes and perlage on some parts, probably did some anglage
The Rotor is very nice made too.
That aside... It's not comparable to the Ionica (then again the Ionica probably has no competition )
So a good and nice finished movement but imo not superior.
Now before you ask ' Are those hour and minute hands white ?? '
Yes they are 
The reason is that this watch came with 2 dials. I guess the first owner bought later a more modern dial ... Originally it came with this dial.

White Roman number match better with white hour and minute hands ;-)

We were talking via Instagram or whatsapp ' as we collectors often do lol' ... Don't know which watch we were talking about but at some point he said he just bought a Parmigiani Toric Chrono.
Strange thing I just missed a deal ...
So I asked if it was perhaps from an Italian dealer. As you can guess meanwhile we were talking about the same watch.
I made an offer a bit below the asking price and the dealer was hesitating. Radone made a better offer probably hours later and he closed the deal.
I was very happy at least it went to somebody I know, a good collector. Sad I missed it but at the same time it gave me a smile he got it.
Couple of days later I told him ... ' wanna make a little profit ? If you ever want to sell it, call me first. '
Radone asked if I would buy it or if it was for somebody else. Ofcourse I wanted it for myself
Almost immediately I got a reply .... 'If its for you you can have it , right now and I don't want to make a profit '
So I really wanted it but I was too stupid and made a cheap offer, missed it, went to a collector I know and he gave me a second chance ... Respect my friend !!

great story and the watch is very nice with the modern dial ..the white hands
might be a better fit with the original dial but this "panda" is nicer IMHO. Wear it in good health!

Which matches an awesome watch! Glad to hear these stories about the collector community. Parmigiana doesn’t get the appreciation it deserves, enjoy yours and help spread the word!

I bet they are the gold hands but painted. On this dial gold hands would be better but with the original dial it had the white hands And somehow I want to keep it original I think.

Congratulations to this catch! So much to love on these early models. I would probably put the original black dial on, love its classic and classy look.
