Thr shape of the case is called a cushion case.
This reference was made between 1999 and 2002 and approximately 750 pieces made in the black dial.
This is a neo-vintage gem. It won watch of the year in Japan 1999. Unless one checked the archives, one would not know this has ever existed.
Long curved lugs. Very comfortable on strap or on bracelet.
GP has not come out with a cushion case watch in the last 20 years. Maybe one day soon I hope. 
Would love to see more of them from GP in the future.

Agree, the guilloche web pattern 😀 gives a 3-D effect Very few of these were made. Do you know the production numbers for the 2498 And 2499? ...

There are other posts so do some searches for “Perregaux 2498” and “Perregaux 2499” I did a screen shot as well. The 2499 black dial is the most rare. 2499 silver dial is next. Then the 2498 silver. Then the 2498 black. Then the 2598 black and ivory. No ...
