Not sure I'm in buying mode yet - but it's always worth looking.
A rather random combination of GS & Tudor
Never good with GS model numbers - but these both manual wind.
Of the GS surprised by how much I liked the silver dialed one, great case shape & size 36.5 mm I think.
Then a couple of Tudors - surprised they had both in. I'm leaning much more to the Pelagos. Have to say the BB54 left me pretty much cold.
All of them in my buying sweet spot. But it really goes to show that you really need to try one on before getting it.
They're still all residing in the shops safe still.

Looks like a fun browsing experience.
For the Tudors I'd pick the Pelagos too. The dial looks cleaner without the gold markers. Was the size of the BB (37 mm?) a factor in your impression of the watch?

As the GS I liked was even smaller at 36.5 mm & I have a lot of watches at 34 - 36. Quite liked it's smaller size & Slimer profile - the BB54 just felt a bit too retro inspired & there's a lot of gilt on the dial. I'm sure lot would have gone for it. I'll...
The Grand Seikos are SBGW 291 and 293 . . .

On second look, the brown dial GS you posted is not SBGW 293. I think it's a model made exclusively . . .

Definitely worth trying them all - even if it only allows you to discount them.
