Frequently, it seems, the discovery of great music is serendipitous. More often than not it is the consequence of a recommendation from a friend, radio d.j. or sales assistant. In modern times the process is enhanced by resort to ‘Amazon’-like sites (“people who bought this also liked…”) and the sharing of playlists (in a legal fashion, of course).
Would anyone be interested in assembling or contributing to a playlist which reflects the considered recommendations of the good souls visiting this forum? If so, here’s the plan:
If visiting this post later in the thread, jump to the last reply (assuming there are any!) before carrying out these steps.
If nothing else, it could be a bit of fun on a slow night. If there are enough players, by the last post in the thread we should have built up an eclectic playlist hopefully worthy of a listen.

‘Born to be wild” – Steppenwolf
Mellow Listening:

“Solid Air” – John Martyn

Great Operatic/Choral Music:
“Flower chorus” from Lakme – Delibes

Thanks for your indulgence,
Cheers,
