Can you clarify something for me please? I see that there is a current production Luminor Base Logo model 1086 in 44mm…
so what is the difference between the current production Logo and the one in Bill’s picture?
Pam 1086 is the successor to PAM 000 in many ways, but with updated movement.
The zero has OP I (manual wind, ETA-based) and the depth is 300m and produced 2004 – ~2017. The 1086 has the inhouse P.6000 (manual wind, in-house) 3 day reserve with 100m depth rating
I got fed up with them going down the boutique route, as I lost out too much on many pieces
Also because OP was on the crest of a wave, the sales staff thought they were Gods, but now its very very very different The sales team in the London boutique are exceptional, it’s another reason I am tempted back I also found some of the UK paneristi too...

I fall in and out of love with the brand, I’m not exactly sure why.
I have bought and sold 4 different Panerai. 3 Luminor & I Radiomir. I do like the history and looks very much, the larger diameter seem more desirable but only the 42mm Due ever really fit well.
Size is a key factor, the 47mm I bought just didn’t work no matter how much I tried to convince myself
44mm is perfect for my 19cmm, 7.2 inch wrist
40mm models 048/049/050/051....
are the models that fromed the backbone of Panerai...restart. They have been produced in tens of thousands pieces, beginning in 1999. They have been discontinued (although I don't quite remember the year) but I don't think there is any other model with TH...
I've been falling back in love with old references
With older technology / movements and simpler designs. If they go back to that stage, and yes I know you can never re-capture the past exactly, I'll be back into Panerai.

I still have only Panerai. Fewer then I had few years ago, different models perhaps but still only Panerais. I'm just off watches in general. I seldom go out and even more seldom wear one, these days. I hope, for you, the new management will re-ignite you...
