Piaget Polo FortyFive Lady -- 38 mm watch encased in 18K pink gold set with 50
brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.7 ct). Dial set with 8 brilliant-cut diamonds
(approx. 0.5 ct). 15P quartz movement. [Daos' note: Wouldn't it be great to see
this piece house a Manufacture Piaget automatic movement?] 58 diamonds in total
are set into the bezel and hour-markers to contrast with the pink gold case and
brown dial/bracelet.
Ref. G0A36030.
Piaget Polo -- 32 mm watch encased in 18K pink and white gold set with 36
brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.5 ct). Ruby zoisite dial with hour-markers in
18K pink gold. Piaget 690P quartz movement. For 2011 the famous Piaget Polo
watch, with its characteristic integrated design, gadroon decoration and
interplay between polished and satin-brushed surfaces, will be the object of a
number of particularly vintage-style "special edition" models. The
hard stone dials that were once one of the brand's best-known hallmarks will
give a personalized touch to a series of two-tone watches (in this case in pink
and white gold). [How super exciting is this news?! I love the stone dialed
vintage Piagets so it will be fun to see new interpretations of those pieces.]
What do you think? Interesting models IMO. I do regret that the women's pieces
house quartz movements, but I love the combination of titanium and rose gold.
Cheers,
Daos
