Is it me or is the the lume quite weak on the 5740? It doesn’t seem to last half as long as my 116719BLRO

It’s so wet and grey but at least something seems bright 😉
I think this picture is the closest I’ll get to capturing the feel of the 5740. Hope you agree!

Compared to recent Rolex watches you might be right. Rolex has developed lume further where Patek never mentions an improved lume. [nt]

You really need the “lights on,” to adequately appreciate this watch. I would buy extra lamps just to be sure I have lights to see this beauty.

Last thing on my mind...

If I had this beauty, I’ll even sleep with all of my lights on just to admire the dial!

They are probably using the silly C1 lume on the 5740 as well
By: w220 : August 19th, 2020-13:24
See my lume post from a few weeks ago here: No idea why they changed to C1 - it makes no sense.

I already read it and that’s why I tested the watch 🤣

It really makes no sense to change to a lesser version right ?

Maybe it saves them $10 per watch in production cost [nt]

On the bright side, the lume looks quite homogenous, that's good. [nt]

I also find the lume last for short time only, definitely not comparable to modern Rolex.

My lume wrist shot. The lume is also quite weak.
