Interesting package arrived today...
from my buddy Eric, a fellow watch collector (especially vintage Heuers). Wrapped inside a TAG Heuer shirt was a new CD, "10 x 10," the last album by Ronnie Montrose, who we lost in 2012. A group of rock legends came together to finish the album and happy to say Eric (KISS) provided drums. Album was released this week.
If you were raised on 70s/80s rippin' guitars (as I was), this album is a sweet surprise.
A few tracks even have a bit of a bluesy vibe. Just a fun rockin' album.
Okay, enough typing. Time to go through another round of "10 x 10." Curious to see what other "old school" rockers on the forum think.

Montrose was literally cutting edge . . .
. . . back when I was in high school, Todd. How I missed his passing (or simply forgot) is beyond me. Good to see his bandmates and contemporaries honoring him. Especially Farner. Hadn't heard about him for a long time . . . good to know he's still around...
Ronnie really did some nice work on this album.
I didn't even know Eric was drumming on this project until he sent me the CD. Interesting thing is that this doesn't sound 21st century. Guitar sounds totally raw 80's. I love it! Most remarkable is how well the guitars and drums work together considering...
