I found these traditional Japanese school bags — called Randoseru — intriguing and appealing.
So, I ordered one from Japan on Monday and it arrived on Friday — 5 days! Amazing craftsmanship (and the packaging — such care and detail). I am looking forward to using this bag about town. The blue cowhide leather goes well with the Reverso Tribute dial.

Hmm. INteresting.
I'm mainly looking for any edge painting. As the craftsman "fusing" of the ends of leather and then painting the edge with a bonding like paint is very indicative of a piece's quality. I don't see any "fused edges" from this angle. But it does look impres...
I don't know whether it's true ..........
............. but I was told that they are made to stand an earthquake, so the owner could be identified if required.
