Is the Datograph Perpetual better matched with a navy blue strap: Or in classic grey? The personality of the watch changes completely with the change of strap. And there are more on the way. This madness has to stop! ...

The second picture was taken in Raffles Hotel, Singapore, which is distinctive for its colonial architecture. The restaurant is Burger & Lobster, and the exterior decor is in keeping with the style of Raffles Hotel. Your post tempts me to go for a good me...

I'm honestly torn between the two, and would have to divide my time accordingly.

Normally i would choose blue straps as I like blue. But somehow I feel the gray strap color combo with the light gray dial works better Cheers Robin

Hmm for now I still prefer a black strap for some contrast with the Lange gray. May try a blue strap next time. Brown or gray (especially if too close to the gray dial) wouldn't go with mine I feel.

Indeed, the liveliness of the blue brings a very different feel from what I expect from the watch.

Such a complexe and refined watch, it deserves to have different personalities!

Yet IMHO they both are monochromatic with the your Dato. I would pick shades of brown depending on the mood. Caramel for fun to darker shades for some serious moment. Nonetheless the watch is so gorgeous it can go with any color strap

To be honest, I'm hesitant about getting a brown, as the original Lange brown that came with the watch somehow does not speak to me. I like the idea of caramel though, may give that a try!

... it matches nicely with the moonphase and day/night indicator. Grey strap makes it a bit monochromatic.

I am in agreement with you on this. The blue strap helps to make the blue elements of the watch more arresting.

But given the choice, the gray is more compelling for me

I see it's almost an equal distribution of votes for each strap! I'm tempted to get more straps, just to see how versatile the watch can be!

This counts as 8:6 in favor of the blue.
