How do we feel about the 5960a black dial?
Upon seeing so many beautiful photos of the 5960a, I couldn't resist the temptation to go take a closer look at one today. Lucky for me, I got to see the black dial in person for the first time.
I had been attracted to the white dial for its cool sportiness, but the black dial feels confident and coherent. I prefer the way it pairs with the shiny bracelet. If I were to acquire it, a strap change is the likely outcome anyway.
It seems like there's already a lot of love for the 5960a white dial, which I can easily relate to. How about the black dial? Love to hear your thoughts.

I saw it last month and I must say it's a very attractive sport watch also.
Given the fact that most prefer the white dial is a pro to the black dial for the exclusiveness. Aris
Suppose only a small number of black dial pieces have been delivered that's why we haven't seen many of it.
The exclusiveness of this watch is only a very small consideration for me, even though having something new and exciting is of course a bonus.
I will be a tough one if you have the possibility to chose .

Not a very coherent dial IMO. That bracelet is not right either. That is just me. Go for it if YOU like it. All the best.
Don't love the bracelet, but not as bad as I thought...

The both SS 5960 are being discontinued so this black dial presented during baselworld 2017 is an extremely short run and a very exclusive one.

It would look great on a strap but I think it even looks good on the bracelet. I’ve asked my AD for one and am hoping to get it since it is already being discontinued

For me, I just could not get past the resale value/over supply issue.
And while I know that doesn't affect the black dial given is far more limited run this was a big enough issue for me to just move on.
I like the black a lot
but because I have 5960P-016 (black dial), the white dial steel version was a natural choice for me. Best, Kari
