Fresh out of the oven, timing by Omega ;-)) … ...  

This year Fortnum's, Harrods & Gail's was disappointing but I found a local bakery that makes perfectly crisp outside , soft and very nicely spiced and fruited inside buns ( not cheap at £4 a pop but hey, Easter comes once a year )

I glazed them with apricot jam ! You are right, it’s worth getting good ones with crisp outsides. Enjoy !
