Grand Prix of Long Beach, California
Fellow PuristS got together for an exciting weekend of racing at the GP of Long Beach. We met up early in the morning at the landmark Randy's Doughnut near the 405 fwy.
As Art aka Dr. No and I carpooled to the meeting place (here's a few of his pics timeout.watchprosite.com ). To our surprise a fellow Purist arrived in a new car, a nice way to kick off a race day!
The carbon BMW badging indicates that this is no ordinary BMW! The exhaust note on this machine is harmony to auto enthusiast. The special grey color sparkles in the sunlight.
Off we go down the 405 and the 710 fwy. As we arrived to our destination, we follow the Shoreline drive to the Village area for the corral. Porsche and Corvette owners had their own parking area.

The ALMS paddock gets lively as the race begins to start. Out comes the GT2 class BMW E92 M cars. The GT1 class Corvette C6R roll out. This is the last race for them as they jump to GT2 in June. Porsche and Ferrari better watch out! Who doesn't like Ferra...
