Callaway Cars, Inc, just received the letter of authorization from Chevrolet to submit the homologation forms for FIA certification for the recently introduced C7 Corvette. This means that Callaway becomes the official FIA GT3 specialist representative for development and construction of the homologated Corvette C7 to be used in FIA sanctioned GT3 class racing.
Callaway was also the homologation holder for the C6 GT3, and claims their team to be the most successful in GT3 based on their Drivers and Team Championships from 2007 to the present.
Looking forward to a future season of the Corvette C07 duking it out with Audi, BMW, Ferrari and Porsche to the finish line! I personally like GT3 class racing because it is the closest "amateurs" can get to a fully sanctioned race series, and with strict development and specifications limitations, have the closest "connection" to their street car bases.
