For the pleasure of the eyes... 2 Panerai which made me dream: PaM 21 and 36.

PAM 36, by Antiquorum:
The Pam 21 was the first LE by Panerai, in the Vendome years ( 1997 ) while the Pam 36 was the second.
Tritium brown dials in both cases, platinum case for the " 21 ", titanium for the " 36 ", Rolex Cortebert for the " 21 ", ETA for the " 36 ". But both have an incredible charm and power.

I don't think that the 36's price went dramatically down.
I have never seen a single 36 under 18.000 - 20.000€ in the past 8 years, since I have been collecting watches. If I compare that market value with the 3.500€ retail - or somewhat like that - , than it was a great investment! Personally, I would never buy...

The first titanium, we don't know, because there was also the PAM 40.
It seems that the Pam 40 tested the waters for a Titanium watch.
Jury is still out on that one, and Panerai is NOT cooperating nor forthcoming with information about this situation....
to top it all off, they restructured the Special Edition index (in the website) and..lumped..the 36 with other LE of year 1999, deleting year 1998 altogether. And the plot thinckens...hahahaha

If the 40 was..presented..at the SIHH in 1999 and the 36 was an L.E. released in 1998, doesn't it mean the 36 was produced...first?
