Difficult choice : 5980 vss 5990
I love both these models and after having tried the 5980 AR this afternoon on the wrist, I must admit that I never thought I would like the bicolor, but the beautiful contrast between the pink gold bezel and the stunning blue dial, combined with the bicolor bracelet, pushes me more to the 5980 then the 5990.
What do you guys think ?

Dual metal is just incredible imo
I also thought I wouldn\'t like it and my 3800 is now one of my favourite PP. and so unusual ...
I had exactly the same feeling until I tried the 5980 on my wrist, really stunning how the blue dial contrasts with the pink gold.
Congrats on your 3800, beautiful ! Simplicity is the ultimate complication. May I ask which year your 3800 is from ?

I never had a look at the two tone
but in general, I strongly prefer 5980. For me 5990 is "too far" from the original Nautilus. Furthermore, I really like the 12 hours chronograph counter of 5980. Best, Kari

for the looks sake the bicolour ... for practicality sake (if you are a frequent traveler)

Changing time zones is a cinch.

The 5980 if you want more colors and more eye-catching (which I would pick).
The 5990 is more subdue. So it depends on what your profile your prefer.
You won't go wrong with any of the 2.

Even though I am not normally a fan of two tone watches - the mixed metals and blue dial is absolutely stunning IMO

The 5980AR would be my choice. It really pops. I don't tend to like the gray dial Nautilus watches on a bracelet, or gray dials generally.
