Car Show in the neighborhood, Part 1 Porsche

The San Diego local section of the Porsche Club of America had their annual meeting today. One of their goals was to have a model from each year (60!) the company has been selling cars (in the US?).

My friend is a recent member of the PCA but didn't bring his car - so we just walked and admired the vehicles there. Here's a quick overview:

This car appeared to be a survivor rather than a trailer queen

I can tell you confidently that Green is the new Red, as far as the cars at this show. I've never seen so many green cars, let alone Porsches!

It was a nice day - not too hot, not cold at all.

This yellow car is a Cayman with a custom body kit

I was sure this would turn out to be a Singer, but no, it was a locally-restored/modified car

The engine looked expensive!

I was pleased that this group of Porsche fans were not afraid to get down and dirty with the (green)  cars

And there were kids being taught too

A cabrio with hardtop?

PCA Orange car (not Dutch)

The four wheels on this car were the shiniest alloys I have ever seen

A very early 911 from 1965 (green!)

For a 52 year-old car, this was clean as a whistle

Moving forward about 50 years ...

I forgot to say there were plenty of yellow Porsches too, including this one that matched my watch (moon)

not as good a match

All in all, it was very entertaining (and green). But the parking meter was ticking, and there was another club presenting their cars a couple hundred meters down the road...

Please "check" it out.
