Some questions for my fellow Breguet lovers (and especially Lutz ).
First let me admit I am not a crazy millionaire... I earn my living hard working as a doctor... I am, from a long time ago, an avid watch lover... My collection grew over time ( 35 years) from Omega Speedmaster and Breitling Crosswind and passing from Maurice Lacroix and Oris, one Zenith El Primero of the previous collection, to a Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso Grande GMT to Chronoswiss Opus and lately to Perpetual calendars of Girard Perregaux Vintage 1945 and finally to Breguet ref.: 5327.
The diversity of my choices prooves my love of watches and the augmenting amounts of money I spent on them, from my almost modest means... I don't buy my watches as an investment but because I love them. For me Breguet was always the top of the pyramid and a dream and passion of many years...
Buying magazines about watches I see the great prices (after some years of course) that prestigious brands are getting in auctions of Antiquorum, Christie's etc.. So, those prices indicate that those prestigious brands don't sell watches in excess of 20000$ or 50000$ or maybe 100000$ (tourbillons etc) and those watches don't have any value as a monetary investment... I don't plan to sell any watch I love, but I would like to know the reality... Are those watches we buy in astronomical prices (Breguets among them ) loose their value over time? Are any hard facts about this issue?
