Anybody following the Vendee Globe?
A great 80 days. Excitement. Some sad retirements (Allez Alex!). A boat sinking and a rescue on the high seas.
And after 80 days...poor Boris Hermann...a contender to win...has a collision with a fishing boat 80 miles from the finish. Imagine spending 80 days sailing around the world and then almost getting sunk at the finish line. Boris is ok. He might still win when he goes over the finish line and they subtract the 6 hours he spent involved in he rescue efforts of Kevin Escoffier.

No, but in a somewhat similar realm I’ve been following the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
An acquaintance was participating, really amazing challenge for regular people with day jobs. Makes one wonder why one is not doing something epic and substantial, beyond collecting watches of course !
