My dear friend Nico, would you have a picture of the movement by any chance? A close friend of mine was offered one of these some days ago. The owner showed him a picture the movement which was raw or unfinished. I told him that was not usual with a high ... 

movement of the PAM318 NYC which was not very "pretty to look at". It is true that someone in Panerai made a big judgment error with that model (the reasons for which are still unknown) but it's also true that, of the substantial number of models produced...
