Modern watches mostly have shiny dials. Perfect in every detail.
When i made this picture of my vintage Bulova, the light in the room hit the vintage dial, and it made clear that i can understand vintage watch collectors.

Experience smal size
Little size where normal in the sixties i think. I read so often that 36mm case size is right, 35mm of my lovely Bulova is fitting the bill.
I think designers had a better eye for fonts back in the day
which has somewhat been lost… that’s a lovely Bulova
Maybe global business made fonts today a carousel of fonts.
Albeit the art deco style watches still have the charm of vintage fonts.
