I missed the Great White. It's nice the hear the soft zooming sound of the winding rotor again. It's a very characteristic sound. Owners, eh caretakers, will know what I mean. Have a nice day!...  

This is my favorite version of 5980, even before the blue one. It is always a nice feeling to enjoy again a watch we like and we left for a while in the safe. Thanks for the picture Arie! Cheers, Mark

I, obviously, like it a lot too. It\'s a very fresh watch. Sporty. But versatile because it goes perfectly with dressier attire. BUT I do feel I \'need\' a blue dialed Nautilus at some point Would love to have a blue dialed 2 hand Nautilus.

I have a 5712 (blue dial) so I understand your will of course! I think I may have a dial choice different depending on the reference. That's great as it allows to get more than one Nautilus without getting too similar models. Cheers, Mark

When talking steel: A 5711 should have a blue dial, so does the 5712. No doubt about it. 5980 could go blue or white. The 5726....well....I just don\'t know about this one. It could be absent altogether if you\'d ask me.

but the white version looks better and better. It seems to be so that the watches which looked nothing special when introduced, start to open in my mind when the time passes by. Best, Kari

I go the same way too, and it was not true at the beginning of my watch journey. Patek doesn't offer show-off or spectacular (fashionable) watches. It is like food, paint and wines: the more you increase your experience and knowledge, the more you see and...

I was about to sell my 6 year old 5167/1A and just before selling it I noticed that it was actually a very nice watch despite being simple and basic.

I sold a 5167 with around 2k cheaper I busily bought a new one. I learned my lesson. Best, Kari

Depending on the angle of looking at it it is more silver than white. But looking at it straight from above it seems white.

But I think the blue dial is more special when it comes to 50 shades of blue ;-) ...  

for old aging eyes...haha. That's why I got both the 5711/5726 in white, maybe one day will get this 5980 to make a set. Rgds Raymond

But bought it 3 years ago so that was not the reason. Just liked the freshness of the silver/white dial in combination with the case, bracelet and complication. It ticks al boxes. But you really should make it a threesome indeed ;-)

another 5711 just arrived yesterday for my uncle, so now there are two 5711s + 5726, all white. I didn't want to start a new post since it's not mine. Good achievement at 40 yrs young. Rgds Raymond ...

this looks really special, I really like it. You have managed to convert me. The 5711 in white also looks great.

Personally, when going for a 3 hand Nautilus, I would pick the blue. Hopefully, and I\'m really not a fan of tributes or remakes, they will introduce a new 2 hand (base) Nautilus. Blue dialed. Just like the 3700. But new. Yes. That would be nice.
