A UK-trip .. in search of the perfect Rolls ... Part 1
Last week mr B and mr. Bim went to the UK for a scouting-trip .. finding the (almost) perfect Rolls is the objective. So obviously mr. B isn't going to buy one on this trip, just some window-shopping for now ... .
On the way to the Ferry i hadthis fearsome look on my face ... after all i'm not used to driving a 476 hp beast ...
... as the previous day i only had this 195 hp 'motocyclette' which gave me a handful
...
On the Ferry, 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG Van ;-)
Our immediate favorite car at the ferry was without any doubt this 1969 Lancia Fulvia 1300 Rallye S !
First (and actually only) car-spotting stop was this place ... the little blue car
drew my attention .... drooooollllll .....
Mr. B inspected some RR specimen ...
And i asked to take this one back home ...
.. unfortunately due to some financial issues we had to look a bit lower down the line
... how about a RR Break !
Visiting the UK means visiting Portsmouth where our dear G99 resides ...
I wonder if he can be found at his yacht ...
In the city-centre we soon met the most famous British 'Hackett Boys' .. a pleasure talking to these guys
...
After a long sleep (too much wine and Champagne) we went out for a refreshing walk and some carspotting, how about this nice TVR .. reminded us of some serious drives 10 years ago ....
Unfortunately all things that are great must end so the trip home was due :-( ...
Stay tuned for part 2 ... but i doubt it if it will be for 2014 ...

The Fulvia is...
..my pick. Fun little car. I particularly like that it's full to the brim with stuff and thus equipped with a roof rack. Beats an over-chromed, over-polished Bugatti anyday.
Truly agree 100 % ...
That Fulvia had so much character just like it's owner ... when i first saw that Bugatii from a distance i was stunned ... once a bit closer it realized it was a 'tad' over the top ... a beauty in it's own but not my preference ... nothing can beat an all...

that Mr G is younger and younger every time you visit him or are you posting in reverse chronological order So next visit to Mr G will be when he is only 20 Y O Yours D P.S. Why Lancia had brush under wheel? :)
So we better not wait too long ...
.. to visit him again .. or he has to be born yet ;-) ... The brush/broom whatever probably serves to wipe the oil of the ship's deck hihi ... it's an Italian car after all :-) :-) Bim

Hmm, good to know about the brakes. I do like this car! A lot! That's pretty bad fuel consumption. Even by American standards!
