A new home !

It was rather difficult to find a nice watch box in Shanghai where I live, and one that could accommodate the 57.5mm Type 20's. One could order online, but typically goods have a habit of getting stuck in customs here and ultimately returned to sender. So it was by chance that i came across a rather appropriate watch case from none other than the world renowned Shanghai Tang's. Space enough for my two Type 20's, and my tool watch, the robust Defy Extreme Open Chronograph, which unfortunately was not so popular when released, and finally the 1917 Zenith Mark V Cockpit watch, with room left over for cufflinks !

I hope that soon I may get the chance to replace the Defy with a Type 20 GMT or Annual Calendar to complete my Zenith pilot theme. That said, the Defy has served me well, having accompanied me on many a diving trip, including a wonderful Manta feeding ground in the Maldives. Anyone considering a robust diver may now want to consider the Defy Extreme range since they are being offered at significantly lower price points than when I got mine. I would say it would definitely be a good alternative to a Rolex Deep Sea.

Thanks for visiting,

Dean
