and hopefully my wallet will allow me to afford the Tachydate in rosegold. The dial on the rose gold version is off-white. Coupled with the rosegold case, it possesses a very beautiful and warm glow. Best, Mike

But I will be frank with you: even if the date is perfectly integrated on the dial, I prefer the Villeret chronographs without the date display. Thanks for your input! Fx

It was the Rieussec timepiece that first attracted my attention to Montblanc watches. Its a fascinating design with an innovative chronograph movement. However, I find myself very sensitive to the dial layout and colors; some I really like and some not so... 

I only have this one ;-) ...

I have to confess that I live the Rieussec line especially with the handwind movements. They have the little something which make them easily recognizable. And the horological contents are sound. Fx

redefines the design of a chronograph. i also think as foversta has noted that the additional functions are well integrated.

Because they don't disturb the balance of the dial. It is a very well done addition in terms of design! Thanks! Fx

Hi Fx Nice pics! The Tachydate will be my favorite. It reminds me of the Pulsographe which I also like a lot. Quick question - you mentioned the Tachydate is 38.5mm? I thought it was bigger at 43 or 43.5mm? My wrists are very small so normally 39mm is the... 

Before the Tachydate, at the SIHH 2011, the Pulsographe was presented with a 38,5mm diamater: It's true that the Montblanc Villeret has the image to be a collection of large cases. But some models are around 39mm for our deepest pleasure! Fx ...  

Hi Fx Yes I have not forgotten it! I was seriously considering it before I got my pp 5146R for Christmas. The mb Pulsographe was the close second! I am still dreaming of it. Played with the wg version with white dial alot but didn't have a chance to see t...

You are highlighting an important point but Montblanc is working hard in order that the usual "Montblanc on the dial" feeling on Villeret watches is perceived differently. This will require time obviously Fx

While no where near the mechanical sophistication (or price) of the Minerva Montblanc, this Baume & Mercier also has an appealing vintage look. Well, except for the superfluous wording on the dial...does one really need to be reminded it's a chronogra...  

the date window is badly located and cuts the scale... and for these reasons, it is not very "vintage"! ;) Fx
