Love mine, welcome to the club....
I was quite surprised how much force it takes to wind, compared to my other manual wind watches. Everything works...the power reserve indicator, etc...just want to know if it's normal.
My piece is still in Switzerland to be returned late March. I asked about specifically about the amount of force required to wind the piece when I sent it in for service and will get an answer from the factory, I assume when my watch is returned. You may want to check in with Laurent (Makilla) for his experience.
The main spring is huge which is the reason why you really have to apply so much force especially once you exceed the 30hrs of PR and get close to +40hrs. I initially thought there was a problem with mine back in 2013 when the piece was brand new but after talking to zenith they did confirm it was normal. Laurent
The FedEx guy probably dropped it off and ran away 💥
