Last week, I made a mini pilgrimage of sorts with my Family to catch Iron Maiden perform in Las Vegas.  My little ones, 11 and soon to be 13, have become big fans over the years from hearing the legendary metal band in Dad's truck.  They love rolling up to school in my HD diesel truck and opening the doors w/ the metal blaring, and I am always happy to oblige smile  Anyways, I made them a promise years ago to one day take them to a show.

The Book of Souls Tour rolled through Denver last summer, but I was away on business and missed it.  When the band announced a return to the US to play in select cities, I searched the list and quickly decided a trip to Vegas was in order.

Even when I can't carry a Sig, I carry a Sig ;-)

McCarran Airport indicates we landed in the correct spot

Kids getting ready.  TracieC too.

"You'll take my life but I'll take yours too... you'll fire your musket but I'll run you through..."

Seemingly at home in every environment, the uncompromising P15:

The Book of Souls

Overall, a very good performance.  You always get your money's worth at Iron Maiden.  And Las Vegas on the 4th of July is pretty cool, or any time really, especially for a Purist (high end watch shops abound!).

How long till you regained your hearing?

So, who liked the band more, the adults or the kids? I have to admit I like your Sig man-purse and the P15 is looking good, as usual. M4

Not long... might have lost some voice though ;-)

I enjoy my Sig murse. Fits all the on board essentials. I think the kids and I got a bit more out of the show than TracieC... she would have been fine with a white wine and some Manilow or Diamond!

They still bring it to the stage. Aging, like all of us, but very good. [nt]

Last time I've seen Iron Maiden live was in 2003, lol. Only owned one cheap quartz beater back then,

But I've heard them while driving today. They were one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Great show and performance. Hope they're still that good.

Bruce Dickinson is so amazing. He has lost nothing.

Always super energetic, and the powerful voice has not begun to fade.
