Ornatus-Mundi provides an engaging recap of the 2018 Zenith Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR), a global event combining vintage style with philanthropy. The post highlights the impressive scale of the ride, its significant fundraising achievements for men's health, and Zenith's crucial role as a sponsor and the largest participating team.
The concept to combine elegance and generosity certainly rang a bell among the gentlefolk all over the world, eager to take part in a celebration of timeless style and selfless philanthropy.
With such an impressive attendance the 'DGR' (as it is more conveniently called) has not only collected much needed fund
for cancer research and men’s mental health on
behalf of The Movember Foundation
- but contributed also to raising awareness to some of the lesser known men's issues.
To date, the DGR helped to raise more than 13 million US$ and is this one of the largest charities dedicated to men's health - with Team Zenith, supporting the ride for the third consecutive year, being the largest participating team and also the largest fundraiser.
Zenith's CEO Julien Tornare flew over to New York to join
DGR founder Mark Hawwa to take their vintage bike, being it scramblers, choppers, bobbers or vintage scooters, out into the streets of this vibrant city.

Zenith further supported this year's edition of the DGR with a special limited watch, the
Pilot Type 20
Chronograph Ton Up Black
DGR Edition. Produced in only 5 pieces, these watches are the first of the new 'Black' version of the well-known chronograph, with an aged stainless steel case, a matte black dial, a special DGR engraving on the case back. The piece comes on a special brown
oily nubuck leather strap with protective rubber lining and DGR logo.
These timepieces are
destined for the three overall largest fundraisers, the most successful Team
Zenith fundraiser, as well as the lucky winner of a prize draw among all
participants.
Overall, another fantastic event with so many winners: the participants who united their efforts (and enjoyed the fun) worldwide, the charities with the considerable funds raised, and finally for Zenith who could record another successful event with many enthusiasts all over the globe.
Best,
Magnus
