I was able to find an old gem recently....the Zenith Chronometre Caliber 135-O....Yes…. the same caliber that won 230 prizes in the Chronometre contests.

Between 1954-64, the caliber was undisputed 'serial winner' in competitions and were regulated by celebrated Chronometers Charles Fleck & Rene Gygax who worked for Zenith at that time.

Zenith used these Observatory movements between 1949-62 after this Zenith used the same caliber but without the Chronometre certification.

This specific example is from Feb 1956 and has been kept (preserved I must say) by the owner in such an amazing condition !

Most vintages from this time aren’t complete but this has all the Chronometer certificates, box and warranty paper.

oui, even the postal envelope that was stamped in Feb 1956 !

The case is 35mm in steel, astonishingly the timepiece doesn’t feel small and snaps well on the wrist !

and the Chronometre movement…

Special Credits to Nico, who helped me land on this on time.

Have good week ahead !

Best,
mahesh.,
