Brauner initiates a captivating 'Robinsonade' themed WristScan, challenging the community to choose a single watch for a deserted island scenario. This thought experiment delves into the practical and sentimental considerations that define a collector's ultimate 'only watch,' sparking a diverse range of choices and justifications.

I would pick my LW . Great diver , gold to trade (if someone wants it 😉) and i still can hold one of my independent watches with me .
I would need my trusty Doxa, because it’s robust, reliable and an old friend. What more would a man need ...., apart from “Girl Friday”
Very simple and versatile, sturdy enough if I misbehave and get chased by the natives, but most important of all...in two years from now, if I enjoyed my stay, I'll be able to sell it to the chiefs and buy the entire island with the proceeds...
if we talk about watches my choice is the Seiko Astron Gps Solar. I will know the exact time and the date wherever my bones had landed. No more looking at the stick shadow and no more stone carving!!
...but there really is only one watch that ticks all the boxes; indeed, it could have been designed for just this situation. The Rolex Explorer 1016. This one’s my son’s (but he lets me wear and enjoy it). Perfect for a castaway. Tough and rugged, waterproof, luminous and it won’t let you down. Also, when rescued, whatever the rigours of 28 years desert island living have done to your appearance and clothing, you’ll still look cool with this on your wrist. Regards Kev.
Fits the environment and love its slim case and look. Very reliable movement too
