Nicolas (amanico) opens a heartfelt discussion on the profound connections between watches and friendship, illustrating how personal stories and shared moments imbue timepieces with unique sentimental value. His original post, featuring a watch with a strap from one friend and a navigation protractor from another, invites the community to share their own cherished anecdotes. This article highlights how watches become tangible reminders of human connections.

In our watchnuts life, we had many opportunities to link some of our watches to friends. Here is one example:

Ok, I found the watch in a small watchstore in Paris, some three years ago, but the rest is all about friendship. The strap comes from one of my So Cal friend. He immediately thought, when he saw the watch, that it would be the perfect strap for it and he is right! As for the background, the " air navigation protractor ", it came from another friend, who bought it just to gift it to me! You will easily understand why we can get moved by some of our watches, when they have such a lovely background / story. Please share your stories! Best, Nicolas

What a great topic.....but?

where to begin! greatest friendship is between father and son....husband and wife......parents and child..... But where does it tsp with friendship.....I can think of.... 1675 GMT, Pam 36, TTP65, Rouge Reverso, 6610, 5508, P65, and on and on...literally dozens of connections for me that make some of my watches unsellable!!! Times spent wearing watches, watches sold to friends, watches bought from friends, watches that remind us of moments.... ahhhh i need an afternoon for this thread!!

Superb, Joe. Really superb!

Of course you are right, and I could as well include the Polarises, for example, as well as a certain GP, the vintage. These watches have such a special taste that we don't see ourself letting them go. To be kept for the next generations. I love that idea. All the best, my dear friend. Nicolas
