The brand didnβt have enough money back in the day to start with quartz, so they came up with an innovative way using a telescope like mirror system to have the two flat discs of the handwound watch (hour and minutes) display in a digital fashion. A new version has just been relaunched, with a jumping hour (not featured in the original). Also inspired a certain MB&F some years ago π
