KMII's original post sparks a fascinating discussion about a unique independent watchmaker's approach to digital time display. He highlights the brand's innovative use of a telescope-like mirror system for its hand-wound movement, a solution born from necessity that predates quartz technology. This thread delves into the historical context and modern reinterpretation of this distinctive horological design.

Or actually already did. The old school one still appeals, though πŸ˜‰πŸŸ πŸ‘πŸ»

The brand didn’t have enough money back in the day to start with quartz, so they came up with an innovative way using a telescope like mirror system to have the two flat discs of the handwound watch (hour and minutes) display in a digital fashion. A new version has just been relaunched, with a jumping hour (not featured in the original). Also inspired a certain MB&F some years ago πŸ˜‰

Original. Even I don’t put that much strain on a watch in a week or two πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ»
