Hororgasm's original post invites collectors to share images of their favorite watch casebacks, emphasizing the aesthetic and emotional impact of finely crafted movements. He categorizes movements into three types, from functional to awe-inspiring, setting the stage for a community showcase of horological artistry. This thread highlights how a watch's 'backside' can be as captivating as its dial.

Howdy fellow fair members of the horological shire,

when it comes to watch movements, there are broadly three categories
1) generic time only, with different levels of finishing like the Unitas or ETA 2824. Plain Jane, maybe with some make up.

2) complications like chronos or flying tourbillons, maybe better defination or slightly complex. Pleasant, like the girl next door.

and then .......

3) those that are AWE-inspiring or just WOW. they stimulate the hormones, and tickle your senses. they rouse your spirits, and stir your loins. the Angelina Jolies and Kirsten Dunst of this world, and Mariyln Monroe and Vivien Leigh of yesteryears. Kirsten Dunst said it well .....I dont try to be sexy, but if you are it comes out. if you are not, you're not.

I enclose here some of my favourites from my humble collection. I am not going to mention the watch references, can you guess them?

Show us some of your favourite casebacks FROM YOUR OWN COLLECTION . not internet images please.

Best, till next Wednesday Caseback....Horo

A very cool idea.

I need to take some better photos before posting, though. My photo skills can't do justice to some of the movements.
