Heard the news today

It's in truly spectacular condition. Apparently it would be against the Antarctic Treaty to refloat and restore it, but these photos are incredible enough to see as it is.

This one is a collaboration between Chronotempvs and Habring2. It is lubricated with special oils and parts to operate down to -60 C…WR 100 m.

It is very well preserved in its present environment. The varnish on the hull is supposedly still present! I like it that it remains there.
