All,

A few weeks ago, my incredible girlfriend (an artist) decided to embark on a project to learn about watches (for my sake!) by drawing them.  After weeks of work she presented the drawings to me in a small book while we were on a weekend getaway in Chicago.  In addition to the sketches, she actually made the book by hand, binding the pages together herself!  This is absolutely one of the most incredible gifts anyone has ever given me, and I wanted to share a few of the drawings with you!

Also, note that she drew all of these completely freehand without tracing! The Speedmaster drawing alone took more than 40 hours.  The Dufour Simplicity movement is another of my favorites. She certainly has a new appreciation for watches, and I for sketching!

Finally, the Blancpain manufacture drawing is actually based on a photo I took when I visited there last year!

Enjoy!
