Remarque initiates a compelling discussion on the nuanced appeal of ivory, cream, and off-white watch dials. This article delves into the community's preferences for these subtle tones, exploring their versatility across different case metals and the challenges of accurately capturing their true character in photographs. Remarque's original post invites collectors to share their insights and personal examples, highlighting the subjective beauty within this often-understated dial color spectrum.

There is clearly a vast spectrum of colors/tones all put under the umbrella of "ivory" dials, from less than snow-white to beige to yellow tones.

My questions include:

Do you like watches with this color dial? Do you prefer more milky/creamy or more beige tones of "ivory" for a dial? (I do not care for the more yellowed end of ivory-ish dials)

Does the ivory dial work with white metal cases (steel/white gold/platinum) or is it better with rose/yellow gold cases?

Finally, show me examples of your personal watches with ivory-ish dials... I have found that lighting can completely change the appearance on photographs of such watches with these shades, to the point that the same watch can appear completely different and not at all like in person in multiple photographs.

Thanks for all you thoughts, and happy November.

Very interesting topic and good point about the challenge of capturing true dial color, for unclear reasons.

This Panerai is what immediately came to mind when I read your post.
