Aperna, a respected member of the WatchProSite community, shares a common dilemma faced by many collectors: what to do when a beloved timepiece, in this case, a Laurent Ferrier, repeatedly underperforms. His candid post, detailing persistent issues with his watch, resonates deeply, prompting a crucial decision for its replacement. This article delves into the community's diverse opinions as Aperna seeks input on two compelling alternatives: a Vacheron Constantin Overseas and a Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda.

The Vacheron is a collection killer. Three straps, 150M water resistance, anti-magnetic, good size, Geneva seal, 8 year warranty or something and Trinity? It’s literally a no brainer.
of course the Tonda is the other one🤣…no brainer…TONDA!!!
And it is a killer watch, and certainly harder to obtain than the Parmigiani. But don't dismiss the PF. It is a very serious piece, and more closely relates to the LF you are replacing, IMO. Of course, you could circle back to it later. But if you are only buying one, and the point is to replace the Ferrier, then I would get the Parmigiani.
