PuristS and Kari Voutilainen announce the Voutilainen PuristS 10th Vingt-8 Piece Unique Watches
The PuristS' family of horology and luxury websites (ThePuristS.com and PuristSPro.com) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2011, with a gathering of PuristS, friends, watchmakers and sponsors. A number of watchmakers and brands are issuing limited edition or piece unique watches to commemorate a decade of PuristS independence on the horological scene.

"We are in absolute PuristS awe that Kari Voutilainen is dedicating two Voutilainen PuristS 10th Vingt-8 Piece Unique as PuristS 10th Anniversary watches, said Dr Melvyn Teillol-Foo (PuristSPro CEO), continuing: "Kari is such a humble gentleman that he would not accept our acclaim of being (probably) the best individual watchmaker today for producing exquisite finished timepieces. Apart from superb finishing skills, Kari demonstrated innovative design with the Decimal Minute Repeater and Chronometer 27 Regulator . Now with an 'in-house' cal.28 movement, the triad of beauty, innovation and technical is complete in the Voutilainen Vingt-8 ."

Two Voutilainen PuristS 10th Piece Unique watches – By Auction with a reserve price
There will be two Voutilainen PuristS 10th Vingt-8 watches – one piece in 18K white gold case and the other in 18K rose gold case – with superlative decoration and finishing that is redolent of Piece Uniques.
Master Watchmaker Voutilainen explained, "I am excited to celebrate the PuristS 10th Anniversary with my first in-house time-only caliber, in appreciation of their support for the individual independent watchmaker over the years. I fabricate the whole watch in my workshop. The final finishing details will be kept a surprise for the birthday party that I will be attending in Las Vegas – for what is a birthday party without a surprise?"

Both Voutilainen PuristS 10th Vingt-8 -- Piece Unique (Voutilainen P10) watches will be auctioned by PuristSPro.
The watches will be shown to PuristS at the 10th Anniversary Party (IGOTT-2) on 30th May 2011. To accommodate the high demand for the Voutilainen P10, please send your 'sealed' bids by e-mail to: PuristS10th @ puristspro . com [remove the blanks]
This is a preliminary announcement; the auction closing date will be announced at a later date.
There are no auction charges; what you bid is what you pay, with adjustments for USD currency exchange and bank charges on day of money transfer.
Buyers are responsible for their local country taxes and customs charges.
How to enter a bid?
1. Write to the dedicated e-mail address: PuristS10th @ puristspro . com [remove the blanks]
2. Write the Voutilainen Colour ( WG or RG ) and Your Maximum Bid Limit in the e-mail subject line e.g. " Voutilainen WG: USD xxxxxx (fill in your own figures)
3. State your contact details.
4. State your PuristS log-in name and if you will attend IGOTT-2 event.
5. Bidding increments will be in USD 100 steps above the reserve USD 75,000.
6. The winning bid will be set at USD 100 above the 2nd highest bid.
7. In the event of a default, the next highest bid becomes the winning bid and so forth.
International Gathering of the Tribe 2 (IGOTT-2), LAS VEGAS, 30 May to 02 June 2011
This is a unique event bringing together members of the PuristS community from across the world. The 2nd IGOTT event is where watch collectors, enthusiasts and buyers gather to share in the passion of high horology. The event will take place in Las Vegas 30 May - 2 June 2011 with a series of seminars, gala dinners and watch novelty presentations. The last PuristS gathering had great success in Singapore (2004). Las Vegas is the IGOTT-2 destination with its world class facilities and easy access for our guests coming from around the world.

What if nobody but you made a low bid? You would have a Voutilainen Piece Unique! Worth mortgaging the dog for.....? MTF
I guess that you are right and I could second mortgage the house. As far as selling the dog, my wife already gave him away so I will have to rule that solution out. Let me give this more thought. Best regards, George
