In 2022 Vacheron Constantin launches a few Novelties.  Here, we're focusing on some of my favorites models that I was fortunate to receive the press releases for!

For those who prefer an even more special movement, the tourbillon - a complication Vacheron Constantin does extremely well, they've made it in a skeletonized Overseas version.  Now, I still adore the Traditionelle Tourbillon that I reviewed a few years ago - that was EXTRAORDINARY!  One of the best tourbillons in the world.  Here's a link.

Vacheron Constantin has basically made my favorite tourbillon in a sporty version and a skeletonized version for today's more casual environment!  A beauty.  Note, the peripheral rotor makes this watch extra cool - it's automatically wound yet the rotor never blocks the transparency of the entire movement!

Overseas Perpetual Calendar Skeleton in Rose Gold.  This is basically an extension of a previous launch, but this time in rose gold, a white gold version has already been launched previously and a rose gold skeleton without the bracelet was also launched previously as well.  But what a gorgeous and thin perpetual calendar!  Sporty elegance!  Goes well with a suit or shirtless with a surfboard, and just about everything between!

Am I saving the best for last?  I don't know.  But I have always liked the Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.  A part of the Traditionelle collection, this Vacheron Constantin is just perfect.  It has a Lemania base movement that powers the chronograph with a perpetual calendar module grafted on top.  This watch also features one of the best moonphases in the industry, with 122 years between adjustment, and a carved white gold disc that shows the moon either smiling or distressed.  This and the Sarpaneva are the best moonphases in the industry.  The salmon dial is of course a desirable color that surprisingly matches a lot of clothes quite well.  Definitely a great watch that will be extremely rare - production is quite limited on these pieces!

The last piece I want to draw to your attention is this one-of-a-kind turtle!  This is a miniature enamel painting.  Only one was made.  While it appears monochrome, it actually was not.  Red, blue, white, and black paints were used, if not more.  Over a dozen firings in the kiln were required to bring out the full depth and body of the artwork.  Each of those firings creates risk of cracking or some other un-repair-able calamity that would mean the previous efforts were all wasted.  Just exquisite!

Which ones catch your eye?  What are your thoughts?

Lovely spread

I was waiting for this to be posted. Funny I was up in the middle of the night with my son (EST), PP and rolex had all the novelty posted, JLC too. I go to VC site. Nothing. Then after awhile just the 222. They were slow. For me, the skeleton tourbillon overseas appears to be a delight. I like the look and idea of the 222, I just don't like yg. Also salmon PC chrono is a looker, but I always feel sundials not even in case. Nice showing

222 is an interesting watch.

It was designed by Jorg Hysek. Not Gerald Genta (most people incorrectly think it was Genta). The website did seem a little slow for me too!

I'm thinking a lightweight sporty watch...

Is there any watch good for wearing on the soccer field?
