Chewbacca's original post speculates on Vacheron Constantin's strategic direction, drawing parallels between current market trends and the late 1970s. This perspective offers a valuable historical lens through which to consider the potential re-emergence of iconic designs like the Historiques 222. His insights prompt a discussion on how historical context influences contemporary luxury watch releases.

We’re headed firmly back to the late 70’s.  Funny thing is it wasn’t such a great time.

Hmm. 70s was the energy crisis. Rampant inflation. I won't get into the politics, but there are some similarities there. Hmm... You might be quite right!

still very modern, chic and relevant, doesn’t look one bit passé. Hope Vacheron continues with the 222 line with new models.
