I had the opportunity to see this rare version ( only 30 pièces ) released, i 2009, for Dubail, a well known Parisian AD.

I must confess that when Foversta showed us this version, I was very skeptic, because of the red accents on the dial and ( chronograph ) hands.

It was in 2009.I saw it again, in 2012, and well, I was less shocked by these touches of red.

Now, I changed my mind, a bit.

I find it cool. Would I have preferred it without these red parts here and there? Yes. Would I have preferred it all black? Definitely!

Still, I find it cool, and quite dynamic. I also have to add that I always loved the Malte Chronograph, much more than the one which came after, the Patrimony.

Not too big, with its 41, 5 mm case, it has a lot of charm, I find, due to the 2 registers, a tad too centered because of the size of the movement, and its superb lugs.

It has a lot of presence on the wrist, too, even ore with this black dial.

And a big power of seduction.

Here are the photos I could take:

Disagree :)

thanks for posting this beautiful watch! I disagree about the red, I think with a light brown croco strap (or burgundy color one), the red accents on the dial would look amazing!! ;) Drooling over this one! S :)

We don't disagree that much, since I confessed I changed my mind.

At the beginning, yes, I was shocked, now I find this Chrono very appealing. Not much disturbed by the Red. And yes, that is a Chrono I would love to add in my collection! ;) Best, S! Nicolas

Respectfully also disagree :)

I think the red accents work very well (similar to the Purists LUC Chrono!), I am definitely a fan!!

This Malte Chrono is a killer!

I believe it is in the same shop whence came a certain Prestige de la France, no? ;-) I love this version of the Malte Chrono, and honestly, if I did not already have my Overseas US Edition, with the similar color scheme and size within 1mm of each other, I would be hunting that special Malte Chronograph. The movement in the Malte, however, is not to be outdone. Thanks fro sharing some photos of a wonderful Vacheron Constantin that we do not often get to see. Best, respo

Yes. You could also consider it, since it is totally different from the Overseas. ;) [nt]
