Larrykelley11's post offers a lighthearted glimpse into a family gathering, where a casual inquiry about a collection of bottles led to an unexpected encounter with Austrian schnapps. This piece resonates with collectors who appreciate the personal stories and unexpected discoveries that often accompany their passions, even when those passions extend beyond horology.

I remember it was nice to add a spoon or two of a fruit schnapps to a cup of black tea (from the time I was still consuming alcohol).
If you have the chance to get some Reisetbauer, Gölles or Rochelt (there are many, many more but those would probably be hard to come by in Nürnberg) 👍🏻
Look for the pear schnapps from Prinz on Lake Konstanz. Known as Williams Christ, it is the smoothest schnapps you will ever encounter.
