TeutonicCarFan's decision to opt for a Vacheron Constantin with a distinctive case and lugs, rather than a more common bracelet model, offers a fascinating look into personal collecting philosophies. His post provides a visual anchor for discussing the brand's design ethos and practical advancements like increased water resistance. This choice highlights how individual preferences shape a collection, even when faced with popular alternatives.

...is there such a thing as a 'luxury workhorse?'
When I got this I could have went with this or a blue overseas (back then boutique said 3m wait). I did not want a bracelet watch (I know, can use the strap or rubber one), and I thought this fit in the ethos of vc having unique cases and lugs. Also they had increased the WR to 10atm, so my decision was made!
