Jay (Eire)'s post featuring his Urwerk UR-105 provides a timely reflection on the independent watch market. His personal experience with the UR-105, coupled with his contemplation of past opportunities to acquire other Urwerk references, offers valuable insights into the evolving landscape of collecting avant-garde horology. This discussion explores the unique appeal of Urwerk and the dynamics of its secondary market.

Yesterday’s wrist wear.  Unnaturally warm here for mid December, one upside is wrist shots are a little more convenient given the lack of heavy winter coats and layers.

One of my favourite watches in my collection.  I’d love to add another Urwerk but not sure how viable that is for me.  I mistakenly let a few 103’s pass by in the last 18 months when they were essentially been given away but perhaps that was still the right call as I think I’m more drawn to the 110.

For now, and maybe forever, the 105 provides enough satisfaction.

And the 103’s position as the precursor to the 105 adds to its charm alongside a 105.

Any Urwerk is a plus, but that 105 is really special. Still have yet to see one in situ… Have a great Sunday Cheers, Peter

The 105 or the 210… if only…… Wear yours in the best of health! Daniel

Urwerk is very unlikely, even if your 105 is appealing.

Pairs up nicely with your Survivor!
