Jay (Eire) shares a deeply personal reflection on his Urwerk, a timepiece that defied his usual purchasing habits and became his most satisfying acquisition of the past five years. His post invites readers to consider the emotional connection to horological art that transcends conventional watch collecting. Jay's experience highlights how certain independent brands, like Urwerk, resonate with collectors on a profound level, often after a journey of discovery and evolving appreciation.

I used to dislike this brand, now I'm juz addicted after trying on once!
I didn’t understand it maybe. And for sure it was beyond me for many years. The first one I tried on was a predecessor to this watch, a 103, about 8-9 years ago. It was the most approachable of what they had at the time but even that didn’t work for my wrist. The 105 was “better” for me, and then this one the 105-CT was finally the one that clicked. I do want another. I’m not sure it will happen though.
Tried the 105 and was surprised it fitted my wrist so well. The new UR-100 is even better. wears like a normal watch
