Amanico's discovery of the 1965 TVR Trident Prototype offers a rare glimpse into the brand's early design philosophy, prompting a fascinating discussion among collectors. His initial impressions, particularly regarding the car's distinctive rear, set the stage for a deeper dive into TVR's evolution and the broader context of British automotive design. This article synthesizes community insights, making a decade-old forum thread relevant to new enthusiasts exploring the marque's unique heritage.

I discovered it some days ago.

From 1965. I quite like the interior, the body, at the exception of the back, which I find much less inspired than the rest of the car.

Best,

Nicolas

But I like what your post. Its more chic. The kamm tail is an acquired taste . It's got potential if properly touched by Italian Artist Just my feeling πŸ™‚

Center console is also huge. Perhaps it is prepared to be electrified and given 18" Cinematic Display

The TVR have Ford Capri mk1 tail lights as far my memory reach. The silhouette of the car looks like a very early studie of BMW Z1. The Trident is the oldest TVR i seen now. A short TVR story: Trevor is the founding father of TVR. In a barn he started to work on his own car brand. Models: Sagaris, Trident, Tuscan, Chimea. Let’s wait what Cazalea have to say, he knows much about many cars.
