of my Black Bay Bronze. It's been my daily beater for quite some time, now. Wore it on my travels through Paris, Finland, Estonia, Geneva and New York. Had a blast with the sales associates at JLC, A. Lange and Sohnne, Glashutte, FP Journe, Tudor, Patek and Wempe. AD at Lange has been waiting for one for quite awhile which seems to be the sentiment in Europe.

At both Tudor and Wempe, they were pleased to see how it has oxidized for they only see it brand new and not with the type of oxidation my Bronzo has. At Wempe, Rudy asked if he could take a few pictures, which I happily obliged. He then called his staff to have a look and passed it around so they could tell their clients what to expect. Of course, depending on where you live, the oxidation may take awhile.

I spoke with the Tudor rep at an event last week and he mentioned if you live in a drier climate with drier humidity, it may take awhile. I live in Hawaii so the humidity is higher but I also live fairly close to the beach so I get a lot of salt air as well, which I'm sure, must have some effect on the patina. He was happy to finally see one with such oxidation.

I changed out the leather and fabric band to this khaki one which is more conducive to water. I've also used an orange strap which also works well.

Anyway, here are some pics of what you can expect (soon or eventually) your Bronze to look like.

Aloha and Merry Christmas,

Bob

So it seems it has been serving you very well.

So why the last post? Are you gifting it away for Christmas?

LOL No, not gifting it ... ever ... not until I die ..

But I figured with everyone posting and reporting on the Bronzo there probably isn't much more that I can contribute. Aloha, Bob

:-) Aha!

Who knows how it will look in 6 months time? Apart from that I\'m sure you know we all love pics like this. Never gets boring!

I must admit, Arie, you are correct.

Who knows how it will look in six months. Perhaps then, i may have to recant and post another pic or two. Thank you for your kind words. Aloha, Bob

It has definitely taken on some very nice patina.

One would imagine that a weekend at the beach with no rinsing should get the ball rolling. Very nice look. Bravo. Merry Christmas

Perhaps but one should always rinse after the beach. :-)

Especially the strap. It'll get too stiff and stinky. Aloha, Bob
