SJX announces his departure as a moderator from PuristSPro, reflecting on his seven years of contributions and the site's growth. His post serves as a poignant farewell, acknowledging the community's importance and expressing gratitude to fellow moderators and forum members. This moment marks a significant transition for a respected voice within the luxury watch community.
This morning I received an unexpected notice from PuristSPro management that I am not longer a moderator, effective immediately.
From 2006 to now, from ThePuristS to PuristSPro, it was all great fun. It was one of the factors in helping hone my horological compass, so to speak.
This site and community has grown tremendously and positively, but now has come to a stage where I am apparently unable to contribute. Times change and people must be moved on.
To my fellow gentlemen moderators I have had the pleasure of meeting in person, even if only once:
Andrew H
Alec
Don C
Foversta
Hororgasm
KIH
Magnus
Marcus
Patrick Y
Small-luxury-world
It really was a pleasure.
To the others, I wish you all well.
But it is the forum members who make this what it is - without you this would all be absolutely impossible.
I now join the rest of you, and will try to participate here as best I can.
- SJX
PS: Please keep an eye on the Cartier forum.

With appreciation, Cheers, pplater.
Or else I would never have known the lost art of peanut polishing. ;-) - SJX
A wonderful moment that unites the three of us... Best, Gary
Your posts and insights were and are a tremendous help in better understanding horology, especially in better understanding Seiko for which I am ever grateful. I've known you from our virtual world for over 12 years, if you remember from our pen collecting days before the watch addition set in :-) I wish you the best in all and hope that you keep sharing your insights and watch collection with us. Be Well and See you Soon, S
