From what started out as a discussion at Basel, this weekend saw the delivery of my Sarpaneva K0 and I am just blown away by how it has turned out.

Before I go one, I must say that Stepan is a really great guy to work with and his creative mind (and patience) in coming up with solutions to my requests is very much appreciated.  I have ended up with a very unique piece which is all down to his enthusiasm and patience in crafting it for me.

If you have read my previous post about the watch, I had asked Stepan to produce a special K0 in 'his' blue but with orange accents and after quite a bit of back and forth on the design I think the end piece is stunning.  The finish on the case is really excellent and the mix of brushed and polished gives the watch a real depth and makes the light bounce in different directions when on the wrist.   I cannot comment on how beautiful the face is as it has to be seen in real life to appreciate it, but it changes into different shades of blue depending on angle... one word... WOW!

The K0 normally comes with a solid back, but after discussing this with Stepan he has come up with a new rotor design based on his famous moon face and I cannot add more than I love it.

For those put off by large watches (46mm) then they must try this watch on as it is very thin on the wrist and fits beautifully.

OK, so here are the pictures...

The beautifully crafted crown

Caseback with the new rotor... if you line it up just right with one of the rubies...

and finally where it should be.... on the wrist!

Thank you for following this journey with me!

Cheers
Andrew
